Glow stays local.

This policy covers the Glow Chrome extension and this website at glow.mattivan.com. "Glow," "we," and "us" refer to the extension and its publisher, Matt Ivan.

Glow is designed for normal Chrome windows. Incognito use is disabled, and Glow does not intentionally access or store incognito tab metadata.

When you mark a tab, Glow stores the information needed to find it again:

• The tab title and full URL.
• Your selected priority, marker color, reminder, and expiry settings.
• Created, updated, due, and expiry timestamps.
• An internal record identifier.
• Temporary tab, window, group, and browser-session identifiers used as runtime hints.

Glow temporarily reads metadata for open tabs when reconciling saved records after browser or service-worker restarts. It persists records for marked tabs, not a general browsing-history log.

Glow also stores extension preferences, including per-color expiry choices, in Chrome's local extension storage.

Glow uses this information only to provide its visible features:

• Display and search marked tabs by title or hostname.
• Focus the selected tab and its Chrome window.
• Keep a marked record current when its tab navigates.
• Schedule reminders and optional marker expiry.
• Show the marked-tab count and due state on the toolbar badge.
• Create, verify, recolor, or safely remove an optional native tab-group marker.
• Reconcile records after Chrome or the extension service worker restarts.

Glow does not use marked-tab data for advertising, profiling, credit decisions, model training, generalized research, or any purpose unrelated to these features.

Durable records and preferences are stored in chrome.storage.local. Session reconciliation hints may be stored in chrome.storage.session. Glow does not operate a remote database.

A record remains until one of the following happens:

• You clear its Glow.
• Its configured expiry removes the marker.
• You close the tab during normal browser use.
• Startup reconciliation determines that the open tab no longer exists.
• You remove the extension and Chrome removes its extension storage.

Chrome tab, window, and group IDs are treated as temporary runtime hints. Glow does not treat those values as durable browser identity.

The Glow extension makes no network requests. It does not send tab titles, URLs, preferences, identifiers, or usage events to us or to any third party. We do not sell, share, or transfer extension user data.

No person working on Glow can inspect data held inside your local Chrome profile through the extension.

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

If you set a reminder, Glow may place the marked tab's title and priority in a Chrome or operating-system notification. That information can be visible to anyone who can see your screen or notification history. You control notification access through Chrome and your operating-system settings.

Glow requests the minimum extension permissions used by its current features:

notifications	Show local reminder notifications and respond to their actions.
storage	Persist marked-tab records and preferences locally in Chrome.
tabGroups	Manage optional single-tab color markers when ownership is provable.
tabs	Read tab title, URL, and state; follow navigation and closure; and focus selected tabs.

Glow requests no host permissions and injects no content scripts into websites.

This website has no account system, contact form, advertising, third-party scripts, cookies, or client-side analytics. It does not intentionally collect personal information.

The site is delivered by Cloudflare Workers. As the hosting and network provider, Cloudflare necessarily processes ordinary request information such as IP address, browser headers, requested URL, and security signals to deliver and protect the site. Cloudflare handles that information under its own privacy policy. Glow does not enable Cloudflare Web Analytics on this site.

You can control Glow's local data at any time:

• Clear an individual Glow from the popup or tab context menu.
• Configure or disable automatic expiry in Preferences.
• Clear reminders from the popup or their notification action.
• Remove the extension from Chrome.

Because the extension does not send us its local records, we cannot retrieve, edit, export, or delete those records on your behalf.

If Glow's data practices materially change, this policy and the Chrome Web Store privacy disclosures will be updated before the new behavior is released. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
