Four moves and nothing extra

A return path for open tabs.

Glow is not another tab manager. It gives a small number of important tabs a signal, then gets out of the way.

    Mark

    Right-click a tab and give it a P1-P5 priority or one of nine native colors.

  2. 02

    Find

    Open the keyboard-first palette and filter marked tabs by title or hostname.

  3. 03

    Focus

    Press Enter. Glow activates the right tab and brings its Chrome window forward.

  4. 04

    Clear

    Remove the Glow when the task is done. The tab stays open unless you close it.

Priority and color stay independent. Add a return time when you need one, or leave the Glow quiet until you search for it.

Glow tracks open tabs. It does not intercept tab closure or recover a tab after you close it.

Native when safe palette when not

Your tab strip stays yours.

On an eligible tab, Glow uses an unnamed single-tab Chrome group as a visible color marker. It deliberately skips tabs that are pinned, in split view, or already grouped by you.

When marker ownership is uncertain, Glow leaves the group alone. Retrieval still works from the palette.

Local by design no hidden second act

Your tabs are not our dataset.

Glow stores marked-tab metadata and preferences in Chrome's local extension storage. There is no account, server, runtime AI, analytics, telemetry, or ad network. The extension makes no network requests.

What Glow is not.

Does Glow save or restore closed tabs?

No. Glow retrieves marked tabs while they are open. Closing a tab removes its Glow during normal browser use.

Does Glow organize all of my tabs?

No. Glow is for a small attention set. It does not sort, deduplicate, archive, or automatically organize your tab strip.

Does marked-tab data sync to another device?

No. Records remain in chrome.storage.local on the current Chrome profile.

Does Glow work in Incognito?

No. Incognito use is disabled, and Glow does not store incognito tab metadata.
